LEVSTIK AWARD FOR LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENTS

is the most prestigious award bestowed biennially since 1999 by the Mladinska knjiga Publishing House. It is awarded to Slovenian authors for their exceptional contributions to the realm of children’s literature. The award is named after Fran Levstik (1831-1887), a Slovenian poet, writer, playwright, and author of critical and polemical texts.
